Tiger, Lisa and their puppy Anya were a family, at least they had each other but that's about all they had.
Unfortunately they were all backyard dogs in Antioch, they were Pattie's neighbors, with no
shelter until we brought them some dog houses. I honestly don't know how they survived!
After they had puppies, the puppies would get out of the yard and Tiger, whose larger,
would somehow follow them, not because he was trying to run away but because of his
paternal instinct, they were his children and it was his job to try and protect them!!
We tried to help them with their fencing but unfortunately they kept getting out and
were caught by animal control several times. The family had to pay a lot fines,
and eventually they gave up and surrendered the whole family to the Antioch Shelter
where they were all going to be euthanized except the puppies. By some miracle and more
fees we got them rescued... but they had to be separated and placed in different foster homes.
The puppy Anya was easy to get adopted but Tiger and Lisa it's been more challenging.
I love these dogs, I will never forget the 1st time I met them they were all the most welcoming!!!
We know they will probably go to different homes but would also like to see if there's
a remote chance to keep them together!
