Sterling would be a perfect match for a family looking for a dog who likes to
have fun, or for a person who likes to spend time in the great outdoors!
When volunteers take Sterling out for a jaunt in the nearby park, they
are almost guaranteed a fun time-- with his tail going back and forth like a
metronome the entire outing, they know Sterling is thoroughly enjoying himself,
too. He loves to stop and sniff many a bush, and to greet the canine
passersby along the way. Sterling seems to do well with dogs, and would run around
and frolic with one all day, if given the chance. Sterling is a bit too "fond" of cats
though so we recommend a feline-free household
Sterling's diminutive size (he's slightly larger than a full-blooded Beagle)
is perfect for new dog owners who are not up to the challenge of a strong
constant puller, just as his easy-going personality is ideal for a
family who takes trips into the wilderness or has some land which
a curious dog like Sterling can explore at his leisure.
Sterling enjoys his creature comforts as well, for when provided
with a soft blanket for the evening, Sterling quickly nestles
up in it, grateful for the thoughtfulness of a devoted volunteer.
Although Sterling is a Beagle mix, he does not howl like one
at all, so you won't be screening calls from angry neighbors
about any mournful baying emerging from your home.
To top it all off, Sterling will readily heed commands and
respond to correction, demonstrating his intelligence and his
eagerness to please his human companion. Come meet this wonder of a dog for yourself!
