Spartacus is very high energy pooch and he loves the beach, parks, nature and running! He does extremely well with
his service backpack on, will heal very close, sometimes off leash, loves rules and responds well to them. Spartacus is dog
friendly; he lived with a Chihuahua and a mini pinscher for 8 months. He does not know his size so he has a hard time
around kids because of his excitement and jumping on them. He does not like to be alone but will be fine if you leave
radio or TV on and give him a bone. Spartacus knows sit, no, get in your cage, give me the ball, and responds well to
corrective noises. He has a bit of a jumping problem but if told to sit, will do so right away. If he has his
regular hour walk/run in the morning, he responds to obedience very well. He is crate and house trained as long as
you have a routine with him. If you pet him when he is excited sometimes he will submissively pee (a little).
I would ignore him, wait for him to come to me and sit on my right and then I would pet him. I don't like to
encourage the excitement. To the right home, I will gladly give them his $200 brand new crate, and his service backpack,
and leashes. I could even do his vaccines for free for a year. I just want him to be ok. I really love him, and I know
he deserves a better home. I love Spartacus dearly but unfortunately I have fallen on very hard times and
no place that I can afford will let a dog of this size in. I finally found a place to live but they only allowed
me to stay if my large dog, Spartacus, can find a home. They already have a large aggressive dog and they are
starting to get into little tuffles. I have moved in already and they are pressing me to find a better home
for him than my room and his kennel. I love him so much. I hate that it has to come to this for such a
sweet spirit. He just loves any and everybody! I hope he can get an excellent home.
