SHADOWS (1 yr old, Pit bull / German Shorthaired Pointer mix) is a very friendly and exhuberent fellow that loves children and small dogs!
He grew up with children and 2 chihuahuas. He loves to play w/the neighbor's dogs but we wish he wouldn't
jump the fence to go play w/them!!! Yes, he is a bit of a jumper but when he jumps it's graceful,
and I'm thinking "AGILITY" Dog. He's athletic & in fact I'd like to setup some hurdles as an outlet for
some of that pent up energy!!
Shadows would thrive in a home that is active, w/children and smaller dogs that loves to camp!
He is already crate trained and house-broken so that's a step in the right direction. He's a really nice size,
not very big or too small, loves to go for long walks, hikes & to play ball!
Shouldn't be off-leash as he's a bit of a "Houdini" but I think he could do well exercising
in an enclosed type park but can be a little dominant around other males, if they are dominant.
But if they are passive, then he's passive! He does quite well being on his own while I'm at
work all day and is not destructive. He doesn't have to be crated but he can be if needed. He seems
quite comfortable & content sleeping in his crate @ night. He learned crate training when the family
used to take him camping!
Unfortunately they moved into a mobile park home that allows dogs but they found out too
late there was a weight limit of 35 lbs or under. He's approx 50 so that was that! We love
him, he's charmed his way into our hearts but he can be a handful so needs a pit bull savy home!
If you think you can make room for a great dog in your life call us asap! He's ready to go if you are !
