Sasha was recently pulled from the Berkeley Animal shelter into a foster home. Here's what her foster mom has to say about this
sweet dog: "I couldn't help but be pulled towards Sasha when I came to volunteer at the shelter -
huddled in the corner of her cage, shaking and stressed. She had been abandoned by the only
family she ever knew, because they had a baby. Sasha was not bad with the baby, the people just didn't have time.
I could feel her grief, her worry, her bewilderment.
I have had Sasha just a few days, and she is a different dog- give her some love,
exercise, the company of other dogs- and she is flourishing. She is a polite little girl
( 40 pounds or so)- quiet in my home, respectful of the older dogs..and loves to curl up in the nook of my body. She is a gem.
She is housebroken, great on leash, loves the ball. She would be a great family dog.
She is between 2 and 3 yrs. old and a pure mutt - a bit of Sharpei, a bit of Labrador, and a bit of Rhodesian Ridgeback perhaps.
She has an adorable underbite and inquisitive eyes. I have fallen in love and want to find the best home for her -
where people know that animals are not disposable simply because life brings changes."
