Rube

Age: 2-3 years
Sex: Male, neutered
Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / "Teddy Bear" mix
Weight: 65 pounds

Rube was very shy when he first came to us and he'll act shy when he first moves into his 'real' home, but have no fear, after a few days, he'll come out of his shell and show his wonderful, happy-go-lucky personality! He is very playful and happy. A good game of tug or a little tummy rubbing are right up his alley. He likes to retrieve toys and then sit and chew on them happily. He is playful with other dogs. Right now, he's living with two dogs in a foster home and they get along well together. Rube also lives with cats and ignores them so he could likely be placed in a household with cats.

Rube likes to be outside playing and exploring the yard and he likes to be inside keeping people company. He's just happy everywhere! Rube doesn't typically bark - it takes some real excitement to get him to do that. Sometimes when he's really happy he tries to talk to us with his own little howly voice (like a husky might do). The best thing about living with Rube is that you'll typically hear his tail wagging and banging against the floor before you see him in the morning. When you get a kiss from this big-headed softy, you'll then know love at first muzzle!
