Reno was found by some Good Samaritans in their neighborhood most likely another canine
victim of the foreclosure crisis. He is a friendly and sweet dog and also quite alert
and bright dog. Though understandably nervous after being abandoned for some time, he
allowed his finders to put him in a car; crate him; and also bathe him without
showing any signs of aggression. He obviously had had some training since
he would automatically sit at the door and obeyed very well.
He also learned to get along with the 2 resident dogs.
Being a "working" dog, Reno would do a best in a home that understands his
needs for both mental and physical exercise.
He is currently in training to help both boost his confidence again
and to help give him the mental stimulus he needs and loves. He is doing really
well with his board and train. Reno is playing in small dog groups and
responding well to the training. He has his basic commands down and is now
learning down-stays and off-leash recall.
