Loopy is a feisty, affectionate, five and a half year old lab mix. Loopy is the dog who nearly falls
over from wiggling with joy when you come home. She loves playing with stuffed animals, and will
toss them in the air and shake them for your amusement. In the right mood, she’ll snuggle-head
butt, burrowing into you like a child being tickled. For tummy rubs, she’s curl around ‘til
her nose nearly touches her tail, and has been known to sleep with both front paws in the air.
She also has an independent streak, and is always the first to greet new people, check out the
new thing on the trail, and explore new situations. Like Jude, she loves the outdoors, but unlike
Jude, she’ll take any opportunity to get in the water – chasing frogs, sticks, or just to plop in
and swim. After the sudden and unexpected death of their owner, Jude and Loopy are looking for
a home together. Both are housebroken and know basic commands like sit, lie down, and stay. They
were adopted as puppies and raised in a loving home. They are easy-going, affectionate animals who
love to play but are also happy to just lie around. Loopy and Jude have lived most of their lives
in a house with a yard and a dog door. They can stay outside without digging or destroying gardens (although they will
run through plants to chase a squirrel), and they can happily stay inside without chewing or otherwise harming personal
possessions or furniture. Their foster mom has taken them to work with her, and they lie calmly under
or near her desk. For exercise, they are used to long off-leash walks in parks or sessions of
chasing balls or frisbees, but are learning fast to walk on a leash without pulling. They sleep
indoors on dog beds. Loopy and Jude are a bonded pair. Not only will they keep each other
company, but they are adorable together: it only takes only one sight of the two wrestling
(an obvious performance for your benefit – they’ll pause occasionally to make sure you are
watching) or trotting back to you both holding the same floppy Frisbee in their mouths to make your heart melt. We hope to place them in the same home together.
