Committed to rescuing animals, and then placing them in loving homes.

Linus

Age: 2 years
Sex: Male neutered
Breed: American Pit bull terrier mix
Weight: 80 lbs

Linus was taken to a foster home for pitbulls (pictured here) where he runs and plays to his heart's content. He not only loves other dogs with a passion, but he's very attached to this current foster mom, following her around from room to room.

Linus is very handsome and muscular-- a really impressive-looking specimen at about 80 pounds: he has a heart of gold! He is fully housebroken and sleeps nicely in his crate at night, chewing on his rawhide until his falls into a deep slumber. He's learning basic commands like sit, come, and stay-- all of which he will have mastered by the time his leaves his foster home. He also loves car rides! He also has been neutered, microchipped and has his shots.

Linus is the light, fawn-colored dog with the blue collar in the photos. As you can see, he plays nicely with other dogs and would make a great dog-park dog or companion to another dog-- big or small, male or female. In fact, he should go to a home with either a person who spends a lot of time at home OR a home with another dog, because he's a big wussy and doesn't like being left alone. This is a great, big, fun dog who will bond to you in an instant.

Contact me if you know anyone who wants a sweet, fun, lug of a dog to join your family!! And please forward this email far and wide! Linus would be a great companion in almost any circumstance as long as he has company with him-- dog or person -- most of the time.

Adoption fee, adoption contract, and home visit are required for this special guy, because we want the best home possible for him! After all he's been through, he deserves it.

What a Looker!

Linus' background story: Linus is a young male pitbull-type who was roaming the streets of east Oakland with his best pal, a male chihuahua, after his owners were incarcerated in a drug bust. After months of fighting for survival in the hood, he was picked up by a sympathetic passerby (because he would have no chance at the Oakland shelter) and taken to a temporary foster home for pitbulls (pictured here), where he runs and plays to his heart's content.
