Note: We really want and need to find a foster or forever home for
this deserving boy. He's been waiting too long through no fault of his own.
Please consider Charlie if you can.
Charlie is a very animated, active dog, interested in everything and everyone. He's excited to go
on walks or runs, but he settles down as you get into a rhythm and let him know who’s in charge.
In the house, though, he's a huge COUCH POTATO! Because Charlie hasn't had much discipline
in his life before the shelter, so he does best with boundaries and a patient handler.
Charlie knows "Sit" and "down" and is working on "stay," but will need some additional training.
Fortunately, he is responsive to correction, and does best (as most dogs do) with consistency
on the part of his handler. This snuggly, attentive, dog is currently being fostered in a home
with a child under 2 (whom he's gentle with) and other dogs, and will do best with a family who
does not leave him home, alone, for long hours daily - he loves being with his pack! Charlie is
eager to please, very treat-motivated, and tries his best to be a good dog.
Charlie has been a great play companion to all dogs - running and frolicking without being
overbearing and super-assertive; he always respects the energy level of his doggie companions.
He's been well-behaved with ALL dogs at the dog park!! Charlie loves to bat a soccer ball
around and will happily retrieve the ball time after time. He is also a great jogging partner
as he maintains a steady pace. In addition, this handsome boy has really appealing markings
which makes him look like a jester or clown at times. Very cute!
This boy is an adorable, spirited, happy pooch and he'll make a fabulous companion.
